UCLA’s basketball team, which has one of the nation’s top incoming freshman classes as well as a newly renovated home arena, will open its season against Indiana State on Nov. 9 at Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins’ nonconference schedule includes home games against NCAA tournament participants Long Beach State and Missouri, as well as a matchup against San Diego State in the Wooden Classic at Honda Center.

UCLA, Georgetown, Georgia and Indiana, among others, will take part in the Legends Classic that concludes at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., the new home of the NBA’s Nets. The Bruins also will play a game against Texas in Houston.

UCLA will get an early look at its new team while playing a series of exhibition games in China during August.

The Bruins had a 19-14 record last season and missed the NCAA tournament, but UCLA is bringing in four top-rated freshmen: swingman Shabazz Muhammad, center Tony Parker, guard Kyle Anderson and forward Jordan Adams.
