MORNING

Georgia Tech (6-5) at No. 3 Georgia (10-1)

9 a.m., ESPN

Kids spilled into the streets of Athens, Ga., after Stanford’s win over Oregon put Georgia on a controls-its-own-destiny track to this year’s national title game. But the Bulldogs shouldn’t look past rival Georgia Tech (from Atlanta) to next week’s SEC title game (in Atlanta). Georgia got a good preview of Georgia Tech’s triple-option attack last week by playing triple-option Georgia Southern.

No. 20 Michigan (8-3) at No. 4 Ohio State (11-0)

9 a.m., Channel 7

Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith said he did not regret taking a self-imposed bowl ban last season in advance of impending NCAA sanctions. Gee, why would he? Instead of being two wins away (Michigan, Big Ten title game) from playing in this year’s BCS title game, last year’s 6-6 Ohio State team got the chance to lose the Gator Bowl to Florida to end the year with four straight losses.

9 a.m.: No. 21 Rutgers at Pittsburgh, ESPN2; Virginia at Virginia Tech, ESPNU; Illinois at Northwestern, BTN; Indiana at Purdue, BTN; Alabama Birmingham at Central Florida, FS West; Tulsa at Southern Methodist, FX.

11:30 a.m.: Grambling State vs. Southern, Channel 4; Baylor vs. Texas Tech (at Arlington, Texas), Channel 11.

No. 5 Oregon (10-1) at No. 16 Oregon State (8-2)

Noon, Pac-12 Networks

More than just a tuneup for Oregon State’s big makeup game next week against Nicholls State, the annual Civil War game also has BCS implications for both schools. Oregon still isn’t out of the title chase and Oregon State can still finish 10-2 and stay in the pool for a possible at-large BCS bid.

AFTERNOON

Auburn (3-8) at No. 2 Alabama (10-1)

12:30 p.m., Channel 2

This game produced the national champion in 2009, 2010 and 2011, but this year’s Iron Bowl is historically lopsided due to Auburn’s historical ineptness. The Tigers are 0-7 in Southeastern Conference play and might be winless overall if not for the pillow-soft nonconference scheduling of Louisiana Monroe, New Mexico State and Alabama A&M.; Alabama’s biggest fear in Tuscaloosa might be falling asleep during television timeouts.

No. 6 Florida (10-1) at No. 10 Florida State (10-1)

12:30 p.m., Channel 7

Florida could worm into the BCS final if it beats Florida State and USC upsets Notre Dame. Florida will test its anemic No. 104 offense against Florida State’s No. 1 defense — that should be rush-hour-traffic interesting. Florida has a winning record in Tallahassee (12-11-1), but Florida State has dominated the last two meetings. This is the first time since 2000 that both teams entered the game ranked in the top 10.

No. 11 Stanford (9-2) at No. 15 UCLA (9-2)

3:30 p.m., Channel 11

UCLA won the Pac-12 Conference South Division last week against USC at the Rose Bowl. Stanford can clinch the North this week at the Rose Bowl. And the pot at the end of this rainbow is a trip to the … Rose Bowl. Stanford has already defeated USC, Oregon State and Oregon and was only a couple plays against Washington and Notre Dame from being undefeated and No. 1 in the BCS standings.

12:30 p.m.: No. 22 Oklahoma State at No. 14 Oklahoma, ESPN; Wisconsin at Penn State, ESPN2; Vanderbilt at Wake Forest, ESPNU; Michigan State at Minnesota, BTN; Tulane at Houston, FS West; Air Force at Fresno State, NBCSN.

4 p.m.: No. 13 South Carolina at No. 12 Clemson, ESPN; Missouri at No. 9 Texas A&M;, ESPN2; No. 25 Mississippi State at Mississippi, ESPNU.

EVENING

No. 1 Notre Dame (11-0) at USC (7-4)

5 p.m., Channel 7

Everyone knew this year’s road to the BCS might go through Los Angeles on Nov. 24 with a No. 1 team involved. Few figured the No. 1 team would be Notre Dame. Common sense suggests Notre Dame should win this game, especially with USC quarterback Matt Barkley out with because of a shoulder injury. USC still has marquee stars in receivers Marqise Lee and Robert Woods, though, and can play with a nothing-to-lose attitude.

Louisiana Tech (9-2) at San Jose State (9-2)

7:30 p.m., ESPN2

You may not be interested in this battle of Western Athletic Conference schools, but it could save California some travel expenses as the school seeks to find a coaching replacement for Jeff Tedford. Two coaches who should be on AD Sandy Barbour’s short list are Louisiana State’s Sonny Dykes and Mike MacIntyre of San Jose State.

7 p.m.: Maryland at North Carolina, Prime Ticket (delayed).
