Clayton Kershaw to start Dodgers’ exhibition opener

PHOENIX -- Clayton Kershaw might not start for the Dodgers on opening day, but he will pitch in their first exhibition game of the spring.

Kershaw is scheduled to take the mound Wednesday at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, where the Dodgers will face the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jose Dominguez, Ross Stripling, Seth Rosin and Javy Guerra will be among the relievers available.

Hanley Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez, Andre Ethier, A.J. Ellis and Matt Kemp will not travel to Scottsdale for the game. Kemp hasn’t run outdoors since he underwent ankle surgery four months ago.
