Dan Haren will return to the Dodgers next season.

The 34-year-old right-hander has exercised his $10-million option for 2015, the club announced Thursday.

Haren was 13-11 with a 4.02 earned-run average this year with the Dodgers.

He was 5-1 with a 2.84 ERA in his first eight starts, but endured a particularly rough stretch from July 5 to Aug. 1, when he lost five consecutive starts and watched his ERA inflate from 4.06 to 4.76.

Haren’s contract called him to earn $10 million in 2014 and included what was initially a $10-million team option for 2015. The team option turned into a player option when Haren reached 180 innings. Haren finished the season with 186 innings.
