Has the Dodgers’ television blackout killed fan interest in watching their games?

Not at all, at least not based on the Angels’ ratings for Monday night’s game against the Dodgers.

With the Dodgers’ SportsNet LA broadcast unavailable to the majority of Southern California viewers, Fox Sports West set a record for most viewers for an Angels game since the turn of the millennium.

According to Nielsen, 228,000 households watched Monday’s game on FSW and 57,000 households watched on SNLA.

The average Angels game on FSW this season attracts 84,000 households, up from 71,000 last season, according to FSW.

The only Angels game on FSW to draw more viewers: June 22, 1998 -- against the Dodgers, with one local telecast instead of two.
