First-round draft pick Grant Holmes said Monday he will sign with the Dodgers if he passes a physical examination.

A hard-throwing 18-year-old right-hander from South Carolina, Holmes was selected 22nd overall.

With scouting director Logan White by his side, Holmes toured Dodger Stadium on Monday.

Holmes said he was “beyond ready” to start his professional career.

In the unlikely case Holmes’ deal with the Dodgers falls apart, he will pitch next season at the University of Florida.

Holmes said he grew up an Atlanta Braves fan and compared his style of pitching to Craig Kimbrel’s.
