Hey, their last trade worked out all right.

Wild guess, this one won’t quite rate up there with the last time the Dodgers and Red Sox hooked up, but both figured to be happy enough about this second-tier deal.

The Dodgers had designated triple-A outfielder Alex Castellanos for assignment last week after they claimed outfielder Mike Baxter from the Mets.

Now they’re getting something for Castellanos, trading him Wednesday to the Red Sox for minor league outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker and cash considerations.

Hazelbaker, 26, spent last season with triple-A Pawtucket, hitting .257 with 11 homers and 54 RBIs. He has some speed, ranking fifth in the International League with 37 stolen bases.

The Red Sox are right there with the Marlins as teams Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti seems to feel most comfortable dealing with.

Colletti not only traded with the Red Sox to bring over backup catcher Tim Federowicz, there was that little deal a year ago that brought the Dodgers Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett and Nick Punto.
