KEY MOMENT: The Dodgers were down, 4-1, until they scored five runs in the seventh inning to move in front, 6-4. Consecutive singles by Hanley Ramirez and pinch-hitter Carl Crawford put men on the corners with one out. That was followed by a hard-hit grounder by Juan Uribe that resulted in a run-scoring error by Chicago second baseman Logan Watkins. Andre Ethier’s pinch-hit double drove in Crawford and moved Uribe to third base. Uribe scored on a groundout by Justin Turner to tie it at 4-4, the Dodgers claimed the lead at 5-4 when Dee Gordon doubled to left to score Ethier, and Yasiel Puig’s single to center scored Gordon.

ON THE MOUND: Zack Greinke was far from his best, as he was charged with four runs and nine hits over five innings. Greinke gave up two runs in the 31-pitch first inning. His pitch count was at 71 by the end of the third. The Cubs scored twice more in the fifth inning, through which Greinke had thrown 112 pitches. Paco Rodriguez, Pedro Baez, Brian Wilson and Kenley Jansen each pitched a scoreless inning.

AT THE PLATE: The Dodgers were confounded early in the game by Cubs starting pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada, who limited them to a run and five hits over five innings. The Dodgers’ first hit against Wada didn’t come until the fourth inning, when Gordon reached on a bunt single. The hit was the first of two for Gordon, who recorded his sixth consecutive multi-hit game. That is the longest such streak for any Dodgers player this season. Puig collected three hits. Ramirez and Uribe had two each.
