AT THE PLATE: Jimmy Rollins was two for three with a double, a triple and a run. Top prospect Corey Seager had a pinch-hit double in the eighth inning that raised his spring average to .375. Howie Kendrick and Andre Ethier each drove in a run. Seager scored on a single by Scott Van Slyke to tie the score, 5-5.

ON THE MOUND: Nonroster left-hander Erik Bedard pitched two hitless and scoreless innings. Brandon League was charged with five runs, three hits, a walk and a hit batsman in one-third of an inning. Yimi Garcia continued to impress, pitching a perfect eighth inning.

EXTRA BASES: Utility man Alex Guerrero, who has a sore a hand, was held out as a precaution. He is expected to play Tuesday. … J.P. Howell has a tight groin, but could resume throwing as early as Tuesday.
