Major changes on Dodgers' minor league coaching staffs
The makeover was the byproduct of two significant moves: triple-A manager Lorenzo Bundy was promoted to major league third base coach, and double-A manager Jody Reed joined the New York Yankees as a field coordinator.
Here’s a list of the Dodgers’ managerial assignments:
Triple-A Albuquerque: Damon Berryhill
Double-A Chattanooga: Razor Shines
Class A Rancho Cucamonga: P.J. Forbes
Class A Great Lakes: Bill Haselman
Rookie Ogden: Lee Tinsley
Rookie Arizona: John Shoemaker
Of the six managers, Haselman and Tinsley are newcomers to the organization.
Berryhill managed Ogden for the last five seasons and reached the playoffs four times. Shines, who will enter his 10th season as a minor league manager, was in Great Lakes last season. Forbes managed the Dodgers’ rookie-league team in Arizona. Shoemaker was also in Arizona last year, as an instruction coordinator.
Here are the coaching staffs of each team:
Triple-A Albuquerque: Glenn Dishman, pitching coach; Franklin Stubbs, hitting coach.
Double-A Chattanooga: Scott Radinsky, pitching coach; Shawn Wooten, hitting coach.
Class A Rancho Cucamonga: Matt Herges, pitching coach; Mike Eylward, hitting coach.
Class A Great Lakes: Bill Simas, pitching coach; Johnny Washington, hitting coach.
Rookie Ogden: Greg Sabatt, pitching coach; Leo Garcia, hitting coach.
Rookie Arizona: Hector Berrios, pitching coach, Henry Cruz, hitting coach.
