You may have heard that the Dodgers advanced to the National League Championship Series on Monday when they defeated the Atlanta Braves, 4-3, in Game 4 of the NLDS. Up next for the Dodgers: Game 1 of the NLCS on Friday. But who will they play? We won’t know until Wednesday, when the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals play the decisive Game 5 of their NLDS.

The Dodgers went 4-3 against the Cardinals during the season, outscoring them, 30-27. They went 4-2 against the Pirates, outscoring them 18-14.

The Cardinals led the NL in runs scored with 783, the Pirates were ninth with 634 (the Dodgers were seventh with 649). The Pirates were third in ERA at 3.27, the Cardinals were fifth at 3.43 (the Dodgers were second at 3.25).
