Josh Brittain scored the winning goal with 6:20 left in regulation Wednesday as the Norfolk Admirals (24-25-3-1) won 2-1 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, ending the Penguins’ three-game AHL winning streak.
Danish goalie Frederik Andersen made 26 saves for the victory and was named the game's No. 1 star.
In their first year with Anaheim Ducks affiliation, the Admirals have 52 points, five fewer than the current eighth-place team in the Eastern Conference (57). Eight East teams will make the playoffs.
The Penguins fell to 29-23-2-1.
