Update

The Ducks had a mandated day off Wednesday as part of the collective bargaining agreement and probably needed it after they lost their legs and composure in the third period of a 4-3 loss to Dallas. Highly scrutinized Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau and his players will try to salvage a win on a 0-3-1 trip that saw captain Ryan Getzlaf return home for an appendectomy.

Corey Perry has historically picked up the slack when Getzlaf is out but Perry is still looking for his first goal despite 10 shots the past two games. Mike Santorelli is the Ducks’ leading scorer with two goals and no other Ducks player has more than two points.

St. Louis has been hit by injuries to Paul Stastny, Jaden Schwartz, Patrik Berglund and Kevin Shattenkirk and has brought in veterans Martin Havlat and Dainius Zubrus on tryouts.
