Mira Costa improved to 5-0 by scoring eight runs in the final two innings. Carlos Avila went two for two with a homer and a double and two RBIs and Juan Avila was two for three with a double for Narbonne (4-1).

Oxnard 9, Birmingham 8
Trevor Newman drove in the game-winning run with one run in the bottom of the seventh inning for host Oxnard (4-1) against Birmingham (2-3). Catcher Mario Landeros picked off a runner at third with bases loaded in the seventh inning to help prevent a Birmingham rally. Alex Solis (2-0) was the winning pitcher, allowing six hits, striking out seven and walking two in 6 1/3 innings.
Taft 7, Golden Valley 3
Cody deSpain went two for three with a two-run home run and three RBI for host Taft (1-4) in the victory over Golden Valley (1-4).
INTERSECTIONAL
Great Oak 11, Scripps Ranch 3
Nico Pompeo went four for four with two home runs and three RBI for Great Oak.
