Steven Soto struck out 15 in throwing a six-inning complete game and Juan Casillas drove in four runs on two singles in a home victory for the Saints (2-4).

NONLEAGUE

Cleveland 12, San Fernando 3
Chris Reed hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to spark an eight-run rally for Cleveland (4-2). Teammate Danny Vidales added a home run and Niko Garcia finished with a pair of triples. John Wilson gave up four hits in five innings of work against San Fernando (1-5).

NONLEAGUE

El Camino Real 7, Sun Valley Poly 4
Alex Mejia hit the go-ahead RBI triple, Chris Amenta was three for three with an RBI and Josh Derry picked up the win in relief for El Camino Real (5-2).

Taft 9, Monroe 0
Daniel Williams and Jerry Barajas combined on a one-hitter for Taft (3-4).

EASTERN LEAGUE

Roosevelt 5, South East 3
Jonathan Alatriste was three for four with a double, and Miguel Higuera went 4 1/3 innings, allowing no hits and striking out three to go 2-1 to lift host Roosevelt (6-1, 3-0). South East fell to 2-4, 0-1.

NONLEAGUE

Birmingham 7, Sylmar 2
Edgar Olmos pitched a complete game to earn his third win and also was two for three with an RBI, Jake Granitz went one for three and had an RBI and Kevin Torres went one for three with a double and two RBIs to lift host Birmingham (3-4). Sylmar fell to 1-5.

Chatsworth 1, Granada Hills Kennedy 0
Mark Felshaw drove in the lone run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning and James Wharton struck out 10 in a complete game to lift Chatsworth (5-2) to victory over visiting Kennedy (3-3-1).

Granada Hills 8, L.A. Wilson 2
Patrick McKenna was three for three with a run and RBI, Oscar Tinjaca had two RBIs, Nick Kirastoulis was two for four with a pair of doubles and Arnaldo Salazar pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out five, to lead host Granada Hills (4-3).

North Hollywood 9, Franklin 8
North Hollywood (3-3-1) trailed 8-3 in sixth inning but rallied to tie the game and then won after Andrew Gutierrez hit RBI single to score twin brother Steve. Teammate Jonathan Linares earned his first varsity win. Alejandro Villa had three doubles and a run for Franklin (3-3).

INTERSECTIONAL

L.A. Marshall 13, Beverly Hills 10
Mark Andrade hit two home runs among his three hits and drove in three runs for Marshall (5-2), with Antonio Hernandez adding a home run, a double and four runs driven in, and Christian Hernandez a three-run homer.

EASTERN LEAGUE

Roosevelt 10, Garfield 0 (6 innings, mercy)
Erick Ramirez went three for three with three RBIs and Daniel Vargas, Jose Serna and Joey Calderon each added two hits for host Roosevelt (5-1-1, 2-0) at East L.A. College. Senior right-hander Chito Alvarez (3-0) pitched a one-hitter with five strikeouts for the Roughriders, who are unbeaten in 38 consecutive league games. Garfield dropped to 1-6, 0-2.

Arleta 7, Monroe 1
Frankie Topete (3-0) allowed three hits with nine strikeouts in six and two-thirds innings for Arleta (5-2) at Monroe (0-1).

El Camino Real 5, Narbonne 2
Matt Durbin (1-1) pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and Juan Avila had a solo home run and a double for host Narbonne (4-2), which led 1-0 until the seventh inning. Jake Laurita hit a grand slam home run with one out in the seventh inning for El Camino Real (4-2).

Fremont 6, Washington 5
Jose Saucedo had eight strikeouts in five innings and Jesse Mackenzie scored the winning run on a bunt single by David Peral in the bottom of the sixth inning for Fremont (2-0). Washington fell to 0-2.

Maywood 15, LACES 4 (5 innings, mercy rule)
Eric Ojeda had five strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the victory for Maywood (1-0).

INTERSECTIONAL

Bishop Amat 5, Chatsworth 4
Tommy Reyes was four for four with three runs for Bishop Amat (4-1) and Andrew Mistone finished three for four with three RBI. Teammate Brady Zuniga threw a scoreless seventh for the save. James Wharton hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to bring the Chancellors (3-2) to within a run, but they would get no closer.

NONLEAGUE

Cleveland 4, Crespi 3
Danny Vidales doubled home the eventual winning run for Cleveland (4-2) in the top of the seventh inning, while Robert Almendariz had two hits, scored the winning run and pitched the final two innings for the save. Crespi is also 4-2.

Grant 8, Granada Hills 5
Taft 10, Eagle Rock 0 (6 innings)

EASTERN LEAGUE

L.A. Roosevelt 5, Garfield 0 Senior left-hander Martin Villanueva of Roosevelt (4-1) threw a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts at Garfield in the league opener for both teams. Junior Eddie Almeda of Roosevelt was three for four with one RBI and one run scored. Jose Nava was two for four with a double and a triple, with one RBI and one run scored.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE

Los Angeles 6, Franklin 4

NONLEAGUE

Fremont 10, Reseda 0 (6 innings)
Senior right-hander Jimmy Conde of Fremont threw six shutout innings and struck out nine in the opener for both teams. Jason McCracken of Reseda was victimized by six errors that resulted in eight unearned runs. Fremont scored five runs in the first inning on two hits and was never threatened.
