Pool Play

Cleveland 12, Arleta 1, (5 innings)
Rigo Ramirez was four for four with a home run, double, six runs batted in and three runs scored for Times No. 25 Cleveland (18-5-1), while Juan Perez was three for three with three runs scored and three stolen bases and Robert Almendarez added a two-run homer. Arleta is 12-6.

Narbonne 8, Chatsworth 5 (8 innings)
Salvador Ramos had three hits, including a single to score Matt Durbin with the winning run in the top of the eighth inning for Narbonne. Juan Avila added two hits, including a single to drive in Carlos Avila and Ramos with the Gauchos' last two runs. Carlos Avila (1-0) pitched two hitless innings in relief with three strikeouts for Narbonne (18-5). Carlos Escobar, Jr. had two hits and two RBIs and James Wharton had a RBI double in the first inning for host Chatsworth (17-5). It was the second straight year Narbonne beat the Chancellors in their own tournament.

Santa Barbara 8, Granada Hills 3
Matthew Troupe allowed two hits with nine strikeouts in six innings and Patrick McKenna hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Granada Hills (8-15) a 3-2 lead before the Dons scored six unearned runs on two errors in the top of the seventh inning.

Sun Valley Poly 10, San Fernando 3
Oscar Soriano struck out 10 while throwing a three-hitter for Poly (11-12), while Gustavo Garcia doubled twice and drove in three runs.

ROOSEVELT

Pool Play

Alhambra 14, Los Angeles 0 (5 innings)
Quinn Lopez was three for four with two RBIs, Greg Saldate was two for three with two RBIs and two runs scored and Jonathan Beltran (3-1) threw a complete game, allowing three hits and striking out six, for Alhambra (18-1) against Los Angeles (12-4) at Moor Field.

LA Wilson 11, Maywood 8
Luis Salcedo hit a grand slam home run for Wilson.

Roosevelt 10, Downey Calvary Chapel 0 (six innings)
Eddie Almeda had three hits with two home runs and four RBIs and Joey Calderon added three hits and scored three runs for host Roosevelt (22-4-1) at L.A. Marshall. Martin Villanueva (7-1) allowed one hit with five strikeouts in four innings for the Rough Riders. Calvary Chapel dropped to 11-6.
