SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

Grant 15, Canoga Park 2 (5 innings)
Grant's 10-run flurry in the top of the third inning extended the Lancers' lead 15-0, and host Canoga Park (2-14, 0-14) never threatened for the lead. Victor Hernandez and Vrezh Gulyan each finished two for three with two runs scored and an RBI in the victory for Grant (16-9, 10-4). Teammate Armando Orozco had three RBIs on one for two batting.

VALLEY LEAGUE

Sherman Oaks CES 10, Fulton Prep 3
The Knights score five runs in the third inning for a 9-0 advantage, and Fulton Prep never challenged for the lead. David Dombroski went two for four and had two RBIS, a double and two runs in the road victory for the Knights (12-6, 10-4). Fulton Prep dropped to 4-13, 3-12.

VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE

Granada Hills Kennedy 8, Monroe 0
Carlos Gonzalez went three for four with a double and two RBIs and David Streaty pitched four innings to earn the win for visiting Kennedy (19-10, 13-1).

WEST VALLEY LEAGUE

Chatsworth 4, Cleveland 3 (9 innings)
Andrew Klausmeier tied the score at 3-3 with a basehit in the sixth inning and then drove in the game-winner with a single in the bottom of ninth for Chatsworth (24-5, 13-1). Michael Renner scored the game-winning run and ended up as the winning pitcher after three-plus innings of relief.

El Camino Real 7, Birmingham 1
Zach Williams was two for three with four RBIs including a three-run double to break it open in the seventh and Max Mackey pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits to earn the win for El Camino Real (18-12, 8-6). Host Birmingham fell to 4-10 in league.

Taft 3, Granada Hills 2
Michael Hymes hit a game-winning walk-off solo homer in bottom of the seventh and Danny Axelrod was two for three with a homer for host Taft (12-16, 6-8). Granada Hills fell to 2-12 in league.

MARINE LEAGUE

Harbor City Narbonne 8, Carson 1
Narbonne's Carson Avila stole third base to break open the game, and host Carson never challenged for the lead. Avila finished three for four with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Salvador Ramos had an RBI on two for three batting in the victory for the Gauchos (23-6, 12-2). Carson dropped to 8-6 in league.

NORTHERN LEAGUE

L.A. Wilson 5, Franklin 1
Jonathan Rojas pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and four walks while striking out four, Laramie Martinez went one for two with homer and two RBIs and Ernie Ruiz was one for three with a triple for host Wilson (8-6 in league).

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

Verdugo Hills 12, Van Nuys Grant 1
The Dons (20-10, 10-3) broke a scoreless tie in the second inning with five runs and visiting Grant (15-9, 9-4) never challenged for the lead.

EASTERN LEAGUE

L.A. Roosevelt 12, Southgate 0 (5 innings)
Eddie Almeda went three for four with a home run and two RBI and Chito Alvarez tossed a one-hitter, striking out three, to lead L.A. Roosevelt (29-5-1, 15-1) past Southgate (13-7, 11-5).

NORTHERN LEAGUE

L.A. Marshall 4, L.A. Wilson 0
Simi Machado (10-2) threw a three-hitter, striking out seven, and Christian Hernandez went two for two with a home run and two RBI for host L.A. Marshall (24-4, 13-0).

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

Verdugo Hills 12, Grant 1
Daniel Carranza drove in six runs with a home run, double and two run single for first-place Verdugo Hills (20-10, 10-3), while Nick Woodward (9-3) struck out seven, Matt McCallister doubled and homered, and freshman Johnny Guerra collected three hits.

Arleta 9, Sherman Oaks CES 1

VALLEY MISSION LEAGUE

Granada Hills Kennedy 7, San Fernando 1
Carlos Gonzalez pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts for Kennedy (18-10, 12-1).

WEST VALLEY LEAGUE

Chatsworth 10, Birmingham 0 (6 innings)
Trevor Takeyama (11-1) tossed a three-hitter, striking out eight, to lead Chatsworth (22-5, 13-1) to victory over visiting Birmingham.

Cleveland 7, Granada Hills 3
Nick Kaid was three for three with a double and two RBIs, Zeke Torres went three for three with a double and pitched the final three innings to earn thee save, striking out three, and Juan Perez singled with the bases loaded in the fourth to drive in two runners and give the team the lead for good to lift host Cleveland (22-6-1, 9-4). Granada Hills fell to 9-19, 2-11.

El Camino Real 12, Taft 0
Steve Slonoker went three for four with two triples and an RBI, Zack Williams hit a three-run homer and Michael Booth earned the win to improve to 9-2 for El Camino Real (17-12, 7-6). Host Taft dropped to 5-8 in league.

Crenshaw 5, Fremont 4
Donald Henderson was two for two for Crenshaw (14-8, 11-2).

MARINE LEAGUE

Narbonne 8, Banning 4
Matt Durbin went three for four with two RBIs and picked up the save and Carlos Avila was two for three with three stolen bases and earned the win for Narbonne (22-6, 11-2). Host Banning dropped to 18-10-1, 10-3.

SUNSET SIX LEAGUE

Sun Valley Poly 20, Canoga Park 0 (five innings)
Angel Rodriguez threw a one-hit shutout with six strikeouts over five innings to lead host Poly (16-12, 9-4). Canoga Park fell to 0-13 in league.

EASTERN LEAGUE

Roosevelt 6, Bell 1
Jonathan Alatriste was two for three with a homer and Eddie Almeda was two for two with a run scored and Martin Villanueva threw a three-hitter, striking out 13, for host Roosevelt (28-5-1, 14-1). Bell dropped to 15-7, 9-6.

FREEWAY LEAGUE

L.A. CES 15, Central City Value 4 (5 innings)
Julein Hawthorne of Los Angeles CES (14-9, 10-1), the defending City Small Schools champion, was two for two with four RBIs against Central City Value (0-12 in league).
