CITY SECTION PLAYOFFS
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION
Quarterfinals
Chatsworth 10, Palisades 2
Matt Moreno hit a second-inning grand slam and Trevor Takeyama earn the win, allowing five hits and striking out 10 over a complete-game effort for top-seeded host Chatsworth (27-5). James Wharton hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and Michael Renner went three for three with a RBI and a run scored. Jon Moscot hit a solo home run in the second for eighth-seeded Palisades (20-12-1).
Chatsworth will play to host to fourth-seeded Kennedy in the semifinals at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Cleveland 2, L.A. Roosevelt 1
Chris Reed pitched a complete-game seven-hitter, striking out six, and Spencer Horowitz hit a two-run homer in the fourth to lead visiting Cleveland (25-7-1). Martin Villanueva threw a two-hitter for Roosevelt (32-6-1).
Granada Hills Kennedy 12, San Pedro 0 Carlos Gonzalez pitched four shutout innings, striking out seven, hit two home runs in an inning and drove in eight runs, and Matt Sanchez had a triple and two RBIs host and fourth-seeded Kennedy (22-10-1).
Narbonne 4, El Camino Real 3 (8 innings)
Juan Avila was three for four with a solo home run, Matt Durbin (8-1) retired all three batters he faced in the final inning for the victory and Salvador Ramos walked then scored the winning run on a throwing error after a hit by Kahana Fitisemanu in the bottom of the eighth inning for second-seeded host Narbonne (26-6).

Bell 11, South East 1
Carlos Delgado went three for three with a three-home run and four RBIs and Aldo Montoya had nine strikeouts in six innings for 14th-seeded Bell (19-8).
Birmingham 6, Crenshaw 0
Edgar Olmos (10-5) pitched a complete-game shutout with two hits and 13 strikeouts, Daniel Mora was two for three with a run scored and Kevin Torres had a two-run double for host Birmingham (12-16).
