Collin Quinn of No. 1-ranked JSerra continues to baffle hitters with his sidearm delivery and ability to throw strikes. It took him just 74 pitches on Tuesday to lead the Lions past St. John Bosco, 3-0, in a Trinity League game.

He gave up three hits and improved to 9-0. He produced 12 groundball outs and didn’t walk a batter. The big blow for JSerra was a two-run home run by Chase Strumpf in the sixth inning. Carlos Lomeli pitched well for St. John Bosco, allowing three hits. JSerra is 20-6 and 9-2 in league.

Santa Margarita 2, Servite 0: Colin Rowe threw a four-hit shutout and Johnny Carr and Wyatt Thilken each had two hits for the Eagles.

Orange Lutheran 6, Mater Dei 0: Chris Burica threw the shutout and Garrett Mitchell had three hits for the Lancers. Burica struck out eight.

Chaminade 6, Alemany 4: Anthony Acosta threw a complete game to help the Eagles (15-7, 10-3) pull into a first-place tie with Loyola in the Mission League. Nick Kahle had two hits. Brandon Lewis hit a three-run home run for Alemany.

Crespi 9, Loyola 5: Danny Silva struck out five in five innings and Caleb Shulman contributed three hits to lead the Celts. Trent Armitage added two RBIs.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 4, St. Francis 3: Noah Taylor had a walk-off walk for the Knights in the seventh. Ryan McNab and Josh Perlmutter had two hits each.

Banning 7, Narbonne 4: The Pilots clinched the Marine League title behind Ivan Martinez, who threw a complete game. Michael Ramirez had a two-run double and finished with three RBIs. It was Banning’s 11th consecutive win.

El Camino Real 13, Cleveland 0: The Conquistadores moved to within one win of clinching the West Valley League title. Jeremy Polon, preparing for the playoffa, struck out 10 and threw a three-hitter. James Terrazas and Eric Yang each hit three-run home runs.

Chatsworth 11, Granada Hills 1: Josh Garcia threw five innings in the mercy rule game. Josh Medina and Daniel Zakosek each had three hits.

Birmingham 9, Taft 0: The Patriots won the West Valley League game behind Alexis Miranda, who threw the shutout. Ivan Lomeli had two hits and Ryan Mendoza contributed a single, triple and two RBIs.

Venice 10, University 1: The Gondoliers clinched at least a tie for the Western League title.

Culver City 9, Hawthorne 1: Culver City improved to 7-0 in the Ocean League.

Redondo 5, Palos Verdes 1: Danny Zimmerman had four RBIs and Sean Reynolds threw a complete game for Redondo (24-1) in the Bay League win.

Great Oak 2, Murrieta Mesa 1: It took 11 innings before Great Oak prevailed. Zack Noll allowed one run in nine innings. Cameron Mabee got the win with two innings of scoreless relief.

Crescenta Valley 12, Glendale 0: Will Smiley struck out seven in five innings. Smiley and Jaimy Blank each had a double and triple.

Burroughs 8, Hoover 1: Matthew Diaz had three hits and three RBIs.

Rancho Verde 5, North 3: Miguel Negrete finished with three hits to lead Rancho Verde.

Vista Murrieta 2, Chaparral 0: Jake Moberg struck out seven in six shutout innings for the Broncos.

Beckman 5, Irvine 0: Will Cohen threw five shutout innings and Matt McLain and Willie Lajoie had two hits apiece.

Woodbridge 7, Northwood 1: Woodbidge picked up the win.

Gahr 6, Downey 1: Gahr improved to 7-0 in league. Chris Corral picked up his eighth pitching victory. Jesus Salazar collected three hits.

Bellflower 3, Whittier Christian 1: Bellflower improved to 18-6 overall.

La Salle 5, Cathedral 3: Zane Lindeman threw a complete game for La Salle.

Santa Barbara 7, Buena 1: Kevin Gowdy struck out 12 in the Channel League victory. Zane Chittenden hit a home run and went three for three for Buena. It was his ninth home run of the season.

Campbell Hall 11, Viewpoint 10: Andrew Crouch went four for five in the nine-inning victory. Charles Goldring added three RBIs.

Chino Hills 8, Damien 5: Harrison Spohn went three for four and Daniel Benedict had two hits and three RBIs for Damien.
