Baseball: Pepperdine is headed to NCAA tournament behind local standouts
Pepperdine won the WCC tournament championship over the weekend to earn a spot in the NCAA tournament, and former Chatsworth standout Aaron Brown was named MVP for the series against Loyola Marymount.
The Waves have been relying on Southern California products en route to a 39-16 record.
Freshman Aaron Barnett (Capistrano Valley) leads the team in hitting at .378 with 27 RBIs. Brown is batting .320 and also is 11-1 on the mound with a 2.24 ERA.
Senior Corey Miller (JSerra) is 8-4 with an 1.70 ERA.
