Baseball: San Dimas improves to 20-0 behind pitcher Peter Lambert

Another win for San Dimas, another shutout for standout pitcher Peter Lambert. The two are seeking perfection this season.

San Dimas is 20-0 and 2-0 in the Valle Vista League after a 5-0 win over Northview.

Lambert, a UCLA signee, came in with a 6-0 record and 0.35 ERA. He struck out 10 and gave up six hits.

Aliso Niguel rallied for a 6-5 win over El Toro in a South Coast League game. Aliso Niguel scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Eric Wagaman had two RBI. Remy Wasserbach had two hits. Tyler Lasch drove in three runs for El Toro.

Mitchell Thompson threw six shutout innings in El Segundo’s 7-0 win over Beverly Hills. Lars Nootbaar had three hits and threw a scoreless seventh.

Corona defeated Corona Santiago, 8-5. Anthony Czerwinski had two hits and three RBI to help Tristan Beck get the victory. Kyle Csakan had three hits for Santiago.

Temescal Canyon defeated Perris, 12-6. Dylan Alhanati hit a grand slam and finished with five RBI.

Royal defeated Buena, 12-1. Palisades defeated Westchester, 11-5.

Narbonne defeated Gardena, 12-0. Daniel Rocha and David Ramirez combined on a no-hitter. Dillon Gray had two hits and two RBI. Banning defeated Carson, 4-3. Michael Ramirez threw a complete game and TJ Louviere had a two-run triple. The game ended with Banning throwing out the potential tying run at the plate.

Baldwin Park defeated Duarte, 14-1. Freddy Quintana threw four shutout innings.
