Southern California baseball fans should have their chests out feeling pretty proud after a trio of local high school baseball players led the USA 15U national team to a 10-2 victory over Cuba to stay unbeaten on Wednesday in the 15U World Cup in Mexico.

Hunter Greene, a sophomore pitcher from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame celebrating his 15th birthday, struck out seven, walked one and gave up six hits and one run in six innings in picking up the victory.

Brice Turang, who will be a freshman at Corona Santiago in the fall, continued his hot hitting with three hits. He’s hitting .545 in six victories. Royce Lewis, who will be a sophomore at JSerra, added two hits.
