Boys’ basketball: Alemany, Crespi stay tied for first place in Mission League

Alemany (15-6, 5-1) and Crespi (16-5, 5-1) are on a collision course to play for first place in the Mission League on Wednesday night at Crespi.

Alemany routed Chaminade, 71-46, on Friday night. Shacquille Dawkins had 20 points and Daron Henson added 17 points. Crespi defeated St. Francis, 60-45. Mitch Mykhaylov and Brandon Bolosky each had 14 points. Loyola pulled out a 58-55 win over Harvard-Westlake on a game-winning three by Stone Gettings, who had 22 points and 16 rebounds. Max Hazzard added 19 points.

In the Trinity League, Orange Lutheran continued its outstanding play with a 64-51 win over St. John Bosco. Rogers Printup had 20 points and Keisean Lucier-South, the UCLA-bound football player who isn’t too bad in basketball, added 15 points. Mater Dei defeated Servite, 66-46. MJ Cage had 14 points and 21 rebounds. La’vette Parker had 20 points. Santa Margarita defeated JSerra, 63-57. Kaden Rasheed had 27 points.

In the Baseline League, Chino Hills pulled out a 67-63 overtime win over Etiwanda. LiAngelo Ball scored 32 points. Tamer Jabsheh had 18 points in Rancho Cucamonga’s 63-54 win over Upland.

In the Del Rey League, Stephen Thompson Jr. scored 25 points in Bishop Montgomery’s 63-50 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart. Cathedral defeated Serra, 82-63. Leandro Amador had 20 points and Kobe Paras 19.

In the Foothill League, Valencia defeated Canyon, 56-43. Malik McGowan scored 22 points. West Ranch defeated Saugus, 65-53. Ryan Beddeo had 23 points. Hart defeated Golden Valley, 92-55. Myles Franklin had 23 points.

In the Bay League, Redondo defeated Palos Verdes, 68-37. Leland Green had 16 points and Michael Munn 15.

In the Marmonte League, Westlake defeated Calabasas, 67-57. Isaiah Brooks led the Warriors with 17 points and Michael Hanshaw had 15. Conner Longmire led Calabasas with 26 points. Matt Hauser had 25 points in Thousand Oaks’ 41-38 win over Oaks Christian.

Agoura defeated Newbury Park, 53-48. Oak Park defeated Moorpark, 67-61. Freshman Riley Battin had 28 points and Michael Alvarez added 18 points.

In the Pacific League, Steven Hubbell had 21 points in Burroughs’ 65-48 win over Burbank.

In the Ocean League, Beverly Hills defeated Santa Monica, 67-55. Chance Comanche had 16 points and Beverly Hills made 25 of 26 free throws. New Williams had 14 points for Santa Monica.

In the Suburban League, La Miarada defeated Mayfair, 66-63. Kendall Small had 31 points for Mayfair and passed the 2,000 mark for points in his career.

Flintridge Prep defeated Rio Hondo, 57-45. Andrew Tsangeos had 15 points along with Jake Althouse.
