Boys’ basketball: Former Taft guard Spencer Dinwiddie to have knee surgery

Share

Former Woodland Hills Taft guard Spencer Dinwiddie of Colorado, one of the top players in the Pac-12, will be lost for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with an ACL knee injury that will require surgery, the school announced on Monday.

Dinwiddie injured his knee on Sunday in a game against Washington. He’s a 6-foot-6 junior.

“It’s a big blow for him. . . he’s worked so hard to put himself in the position he has and help lead this team to where we are today,” Coach Tad Boyle said. “To have that all taken away from you in one basketball play is . . . it’s tough.”
