Boys’ basketball: It’s a Crespi-Campbell Hall Division IV regional final

Crespi and Campbell Hall were underdogs on Tuesday in semifinal games of the Division IV Southern California Regionals. Both came up with upsets to advance to Satuday’s 4 p.m. championship game at Colony.

Crespi eliminated No. 2-seeded Maranatha and Tyer Dorsey, 65-52. De’Anthony Melton scored 21 points and freshman Taj Regans added 16 points and six steals. Dorsey finished with 25 points.

Aaron Holiday scored 35 points to help Campbell Hall eliminate No. 1-seeded Immanuel, 77-71. Jordan Cohen added 17 points.

In Division I, Corona Centennial defeated Redondo, 85-64. Sedrick Barefield scored 25 points. The Huskies will face Chino Hills, a 64-57 winner over Torrey Pines.

In Division III, Bryce Peters scored 22 points in Damien’s 63-41 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart. Cathedral defeated Alemany, 72-64, with Milan Acquaah scoring 28 points.

In Division V, Sierra Canyon defeated Viewpoint, 67-60. Deveral Ramsey scored 21 points for Sierra Canyon. Miye Oni had 20 points, Sayo Denloye 17 and Christian Juzang 16 for Viewpoint. Price defeated Army-Navy, 67-62. Donnell Murray and James Washington each had 19 points.

In Division II, La Mirada defeated Compton, 70-57. Lawndale defeated La Costa Canyon, 60-46. Chimezie Metu scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds. D’lano Beckles added 13 points.

In the Open Division semifinal, Fairfax rallied for a 58-50 win over Etiwanda. Lorne Currie scored 23 points and Lindsey Drew had 13 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Isaiah Ajiboye added 11 points to help offset the absence of Donald Gipson, who suffered a knee injury in the first quarter. Kameron Edwards led Etiwanda with 20 points.
