The high school basketball season begins on Monday. Here’s The Times’ preseason top 25 boys’ rankings.

1. CHINO HILLS. Scoring 100 points in a game will be the norm for Ball-led Huskies.
2. SIERRA CANYON. The return of 6-foot-8 Ira Lee makes starting five best around.
3. BISHOP MONTGOMERY. Ethan Thompson is ready to become big-time player.
4. MATER DEI. M.J. Cage and talented group of sophomores should make Monarchs very competitive.
5. CRESPI. USC-bound De’Anthony Melton leads a talented guard trio.
6. CORONA CENTENNIAL. With size and shooters, this is a team to reckon with.
7. REDONDO. It’s the year of the guards, and Leland Green will fit in nicely.
8. ETIWANDA. Coach Dave Kleckner has good guards, and that means trouble.
9. LONG BEACH POLY. Jackrabbits hung tough with everybody in summer and fall ball.
10. CATHEDRAL. The addition of Daron Henson will help Phantoms in Del Rey League battles.
11. ORANGE LUTHERAN. KaVaughn Scott leads an experienced group.
12. FAIRFAX. A healthy Donald Gipson will be key for Lions.
13. WESTCHESTER. 6-7 Keith Fisher is best big man in City Section.
14. LA MIRADA. Stop underrating 6-5 Vittorio Reynosa-Avila.
15. WINDWARD. The young pups are rising up, led by 6-7 sophomore Shareef O’Neal.
16. SANTA MARGARITA. The team to fear most in Trinity League if young players develop
17. CANTWELL-SACRED HEART. Watch Jacob Davison throw in threes from long range.
18. JW NORTH. Point guard Dikymbe Martin & Co. have big plans.
19. DORSEY. Five starters are back. Beware.
20. EASTVALE ROOSEVELT. Ready to break through in Inland Empire.
21. COMPTON. 6-6 Raysean Scott should be All-CIF honoree.
22. MARANATHA. A healthy Stanford-bound Trevor Stanback will help Minutemen.
23. HARVARD-WESTLAKE. Loaded with top guards, including freshman Cassius Stanley.
24. VIEWPOINT. Harvard-bound point guard Christian Juzang can play with anybody.
25. SANTA MONICA. USC-bound Jonah Mathews can make Vikings a title contender.
