Boys’ basketball: Westchester picks up 6-8 transfer
Hold off on the coronation of Fairfax as the City Section Division I boys’ basketball champion in 2015.
The Lions are going to get strong competition from Western League rival Westchester after the Comets picked up 6-foot-8 junior Keith Fisher, a transfer from Rancho Dominguez. He already has a scholarship offer from Portland State. He previously attended Leuzinger before attending Rancho Dominguez.
Westchester was 30-7 last season and lost to El Camino Real in the final. The Comets return guards Ellis Sallahudin and Akil Hall Reese.
Fairfax had been considered the City title favorite based on its strong summer play and top returning players.
