Who knows how many soccer games were played on Tuesday in a steady rain, but El Camino Real and Bell had spent too much time practicing and looking forward to their season opener to let a little rain cause any trouble. And El Camino Real had an all-weather turf field, so what the heck.

The Conquistadores, getting goals from Kayvon Parsa, Willie Reyes and Carlos Serrano, defeated Bell, 3-0, in a matchup of top City Section teams.

"I love playing in the rain because you're sliding and go 20 yards," Parsa said. "It's great. It builds your adrenaline when your running and the rain is hitting you in the face."
