Whether because of the weather or coach cooperation, Huntington Beach Edison has had its share of multiple sport athletes, and the next good one appears to be freshman David Atencio.

He's a 6-foot-2 point guard/wide receiver, and everyone is making big plans to take advantage of his athleticism.

Atencio played in a seven on seven passing competition on Saturday, helping the Chargers reach the semifinals at San Juan Hills. He was the team's second-leading receiver.

Then, on Sunday, he was out playing in a basketball competition. He was Edison's JV MVP this season as a freshman.

"He's an animal," football Coach Dave White said.
