Football: Bring your checkbook for Loyola-Highland game
There’s probably no more expensive ticket for a high school football game in Southern California than Friday’s nonleague game between Palmdale Highland and host Loyola
Loyola is charging $15 for adults to attend the game, because the school has high expenses this season in its decision to play four home games on its campus.
The Loyola administration made the decision to charge $15 for this game and $8 for the three Mission League home games in an attempt to recoup some of the estimated more than $100,000 in expenses, according to Athletic Director Chris O’Donnell. That includes bleachers, lights and shutting down Venice Blvd.
There’s also a $10 fee for parking. One Highland parent expressed outrage at the admission price. Loyola parents also will have to pay the $15.
The good news is that students from Highland and Loyola will be given free admission to the game.
The game will be streamed live on Loyola’s website.
