There are four venues that are finalists to host the CIF state championship Open Division bowl game in 2015. They are Sacramento State, StubHub Center in Carson, the Los Angeles Coliseum and a new stadium being built in San Jose for the San Jose Earthquakes, according to CIF spokeswoman Rebecca Brutlag.

The CIF is scheduled to announce the winner of the bidding process on Saturday during the bowl games at StubHub Center.

The last nine years, StubHub Center has been the site. Next year, one venue will be chosen to host the Open Division final and perhaps one or two additional finals.

The sections are currently considering a proposal to revise the bowl structure and create 13 bowl games. That would result in bowl games being played throughout the state instead of just one location.

Sacramento is already home for the state basketball championships, and it would be no surprise if Sacramento State won the bidding because the CIF is looking for the best financial deal.
