Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita had an historic night in football on Thursday night. The Grizzlies won their fourth game of the season, a school record for a program that began in 2005 and still has never won a Foothill League game.

Former Arleta Coach Dan Kelley, in his second season at Golden Valley (4-1), got to celebrate a 43-14 win over Hawthorne.

Quarterback Victor Corona passed for one touchdown and ran for two.

Golden Valley will have next week off before beginning Foothill League play on Oct. 9 against Valencia.
