Football: Malik Roberson continues his comeback

Share

Running back Malik Roberson of Gardena Serra missed all of last season because of a torn ACL suffered during long jumping competition as a sophomore.

Earlier this month, the 5-foot-7 Roberson dunked a basketball for the first time since his injury. It was the surest sign yet that he’s headed to full recovery.

He’s expected to be one of the best running backs in the Mission League this season as a senior.

“I’m not trying to regain my junior season at all,” he said. “I want to be the senior player I dreamed about my sophomore year, have the senior year every senior dreams about.”
