Standout junior running back J.J. Taylor, sidelined since undergoing an appendectomy on Nov. 20, has been cleared to play for Corona Centennial in Saturday's CIF state championship Open Division bowl game against De La Salle at StubHub Center, Coach Matt Logan confirmed.

He has rushed for 1,657 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Sammonte Bonner filled in for Taylor, and has rushed for 173 and 227 yards in his last two games.

it means Centennial will be a full strength on offense for the challenge of taking on unbeaten De La Salle.
