Football: Southern Section preseason polls released

The Southern Section has released its preseason football polls voted on by the coaches, and Corona Centennial holds down the No. 1 spot in the Pac-5.

St. John Bosco is No. 2, Bishop Amat No. 3, Santa Margarita No. 4, Mater Dei No. 5, Long Beach Poly No. 6, Crespi No. 7, Alemany No. 8, Orange Lutheran No. 9 and Servite No. 10.

Nipomo is No. 1 in the Northwest Division. San Clemente is No. 1 in the Southwest and La Habra No. 2. Downey is No. 1 in the Southeast, with La Mirada No. 2, Cathedral No. 3 and St. Francis No. 4.

Palos Verdes is No. 1 in the Western Division, with Ventura No. 2 and West Torrance No. 3.

Vista Murrieta is No. 1, Rancho Cucamonga No. 2 and Mission Viejo No. 3 in the West Valley Division.

Colony is No. 1 in the Central, Glendora No. 2 and Charter Oak No. 3. Palm Springs is No. 1 in the Eastern, with Serano No. 2.

Paraclete is No. 1 in the Mid-Valley and Sierra Canyon No. 2. Garden Grove is No. 1 in the Southern, with Brea No. 2.

Redlands East Valley is No. 1 in the Inland. Heritage is No. 2.

Paso Robles is No. 1 in the Northern with Arroyo Grande No. 2.

St. Margaret’s is No. 1 in the East Valley and Grace Brethren No. 2.
