Three top high school basketball players from Southern California -- point guard Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills, 6-foot-10 Ike Anigbogu of Corona Centennial and 6-6 Kobe Paras, who played last season at L.A. Cathedral -- have signed with UCLA.

Wednesday was the first day high school seniors can sign a letter of intent for all sports but football, water polo and men’s soccer.

Ball will be holding a signing ceremony at school on Thursday but his mother, Tina, said he was sending in the paperwork on Wednesday.

The Bruins are also in the running for a fourth player -- 6-10 T.J. Leaf of San Diego Foothills Christian. Leaf, a former Arizona commit, is scheduled to make his announcement on Thursday.

Ball is considered the No. 1 player in California and a candidate to be a one-and-done NBA prospect. Paras, a native of the Philippines who still attends Cathedral but won’t be playing for the team this season, is known for his shooting and dunking skills.

Anigbogu is a rising center prospect with strengths as a rebounder and shot blocker.

Anigbogu, Paras and Leaf all play for the Compton Magic club team.
