Former Monroe cross-country and track standout Pedro Valencia is 8-0 as a pro boxer.

There’s no running away from Pacoima’s Pedro Valencia in the boxing ring. And if you did, he’d be able to catch you because he was a cross-country and track star at Monroe High.
Valencia is 8-0 in his pro boxing career after recording a knockout on Saturday in his American boxing card debut at the Commerce Casino.
Valencia, 18, has won seven times by knockouts. His previous seven fights were in Mexico.
