BOYS BASKETBALL
PAW PAW, W.Va. — Jordan Tosten had 15 points and six steals, while Hunter McKinley had 12 points, five rebounds and four steals as Hancock got its first win of the season by beating Paw Paw 65-42 on Thursday.
Tyler Anderson had 14 points and Devin Mitchell grabbed nine rebounds for the Panthers (1-2).

Justin Osoro and Arthur Thomas both posted double-doubles and Highland View raced to a 26-8 lead after one quarter in a victory over the Frederick Warriors home-school team.
Osoro finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Thomas added 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks for the Tartans (3-6).
Hunter Sorensen scored a game-high 20 points and added six assists for Highland View. Brendon Seidl went 4-for-4 from 3-point range for 12 points.
Zach Nelson had 13 points and John Tefley added 12 for the Warriors.

Free throws turned out to be the difference as Frederick pulled out a win over HCC on Wednesday night.
Frederick made 19 of its 27 free throws, while HCC only made 18 of its 37.
Markee Mazyck scored 19 points, Tim Nelson had 15 points and eight assists and Tee Talley added 12 points and 13 rebounds for Frederick (10-1).
Antwan Pittman led HCC with 17 points. Antonio Jenifer and Donte Thomas added 11 points each, while Christian Leach had 10 points for the Hawks (12-2), who led 34-32 at halftime.
