Update: The Ducks have lost three games in a row and are 12 points out of a tie for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. They should get a boost soon: Ryan Getzlaf, tied for the team scoring lead, is day-to-day after cutting his right leg with his skate, and Teemu Selanne could return soon after he has stitches removed from his broken left hand Wednesday. The Red Wings have taken a step back in part because of injuries, but forwards Henrik Zetterberg and Dan Cleary are close to returning from shoulder injuries.
