Update -- It was a day off the ice for almost all the Kings, except for the assistant coaches and the newest arrival, goalie Daniel Taylor, who was called up from Manchester of the American Hockey League on Thursday. Goalie Dan Cloutier is out because of a sore groin/hip flexor on his right side and is scheduled to be reevaluated Monday. Kings Coach Marc Crawford said Friday that Cloutier told him that he was “feeling better.” The players and staff participated in a “Heal the Bay” beach cleanup activity Friday morning in Redondo Beach. The struggling Stars are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games and have one win in March.
