Seahawks WR Deon Butler and Special Teams Captain Roy Lewis agreed that the risk of injuries to players will be extremely high if the Seahawks play a preseason game on August 11.
If the players vote in favor of a new collective bargaining agreement on Monday, Seahawks training camp could open as early as next Saturday, 12 days before their first preseason game at San Diego.
"Soft tissue injuries will be the biggest concern," Lewis said. More quotes available above in video interview.
Butler also said he's about a month and a half away from full strength, rehabbing from a broken leg suffered at San Francisco last year. Lewis said he's a few months out, rehabbing from knee surgery last season.
