Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that Tarvaris Jackson will start at quarterback and get a handful of plays against San Diego on Thursday in their preseason opener.
Carroll said that wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a toe sprain in practice on Monday and is unlikely to play. Defensive linemen Red Bryant and Kentwan Balmer, along with fourth round draft pick, receiver Kris Durham, are also expected to miss the game because of injury.
Although Carroll declined to reveal the gameplan for the amount of time his players would play, backup quarterbacks Charlie Whitehurst and Josh Portis are expected to see a significant amount of time.
