ATLANTA, Ga. -- Former Kickapoo Chief and Springfield native Anthony Tolliver is continuing his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks.
Tolliver tweeted on Tuesday, confirming a report that he's signed with the Atlanta Hawks for the 2012-2013 season. The free agent spent the summer training in Minnesota, and he was working out with the team as recently as earlier this month, still hoping for a deal. Tolliver played the last 2 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In his 2 years in Minnesota, Tolliver averaged 6.7 and then 4.1 points per game.
Tolliver's 1-year- deal, according to Fox Sports Florida, is worth the league minimum of $915,852.
