Wes Goldie scored his 33rd goal of the season, and the 368th of his ECHL career, tying Rod Taylor for the league's all-time lead as the Alaska Aces completed a two-game sweep of the Colorado Eagles with a 4-1 victory on Saturday. Goldie has nine games left this season to break the career record.
The series marked a return to form for Alaska, which came into the two game set with only eight wins in its last 22 games. With the sweep, the Aces own 87 points, and a record of 39-15-9, four more points than the Las Vegas Wranglers for the most in the league.
Kane Lafranchise, Dan Kissel, and Zach Harrison also scored for the Aces, who head to Colorado for a three game series beginning on Wednesday.
