Senior guard Rodney McGruder nearly had a double-double as he scored 18 points and pulled down 9 rebounds to lead the Wildcats in their win. This win over Texas Tech gives the 'Cats a three-game winning streak.
Three other Wildcats finished in double-digits scoring: Angel Rodriguez had 13, Thomas Gipson had 12 and Martavious Irving had 10 points.
Kansas State was dominant on the glass out-rebounding Texas Tech 38-20, 23 of which were defensive rebounds.
Texas Tech has now los 7 of its last 8 games. The Red Raiders opened Big 12 play with a win over T.C.U.
The win is also important for head coach Bruce Weber. The 17-4 start is the second-best ever by a first-year KState head coach in the school's history.
The Wildcats are back home this coming Saturday, the 9th, to host Iowa State.
