One day after not participating in a mandatory workout and apologizing for his late arrival, New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey arrived on time Wednesday and went through practice with his teammates.

The Mets later departed for Los Angeles, where they’ll play the Dodgers on Friday in Game 1 of a best-of-five National League division series.

“We’re going to make sure Matt gets to the plane and gets on board, so he’ll be with us tomorrow to work out — I think,” Manager Terry Collins said, jokingly.

“It’s over. Done. New day. We took care of it.”

Collins said Harvey was fined and remains scheduled to start Game 3 against the Dodgers.

The manager said Harvey spoke to his teammates and was “extremely apologetic” again Wednesday morning. Publicly, Harvey offered no explanation for why he showed up so late Tuesday, saying he simply “screwed up.”
