College football ahead: Ohio State vs. Michigan will kick off rivalry weekend
Three thoughts on the coming week in college football:
1. Just three? That’ll be tough for a rivalry weekend that starts with No. 2 Ohio State against No. 3 Michigan in a titanic Big Ten showdown. Factor in a stormy forecast for the Rust Belt and this could be an instant classic.
2. No. 9 Oklahoma has hogged the spotlight in the Big 12, sweeping to eight consecutive victories, but don’t discount No. 11 Oklahoma State in a battle for the conference title.
3. One more traditional matchup — No. 1 Alabama plays No. 16 Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Despite the Tide’s recent dominance, the Tigers have won two of their last six meetings.
