How rich is the Dodgers’ history? So rich that a guy who has won three Cy Young Awards only ranks as the seventh greatest figure in franchise history, and the third greatest pitcher.

Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball (even factoring in his slow start this season), having won the Cy Young Award in 2011, 2013 and 2014, and finishing second in 2012. He also won the MVP last season too.

Just take a look at these career numbers: A 101-52 record, good for a .660 winning percentage (first among active pitchers and 16th all time); a 2.54 career ERA (first among active pitchers, 47th all time); 6.83 hits allowed per nine innings (first among active pitchers, third all time); 9.53 strikeouts per nine innings (first among active pitchers; sixth all time). In short, not only is he the best current pitcher, he is one of the best ever.
