Update: The Galaxy, which has not won away from Los Angeles this season, let a road victory slip away in the final seconds of last week’s game at Portland. After Robbie Keane gave the Galaxy the apparent game-winner in the 92nd minute, the Timbers’ Diego Valeri scored moments later to deprive Los Angeles of a win. It was the second time in three games the Galaxy gave up a lead in the second half and ended up with a tie. The Galaxy on Saturday will be without Landon Donovan and defender Omar Gonzalez, who are in training camp with the U.S. national team ahead of next month’s World Cup. Gonzalez’s absence will further deplete a backline that is already without James Riley and lists Todd Dunivant and Leonardo as questionable. Marcelo Sarvas’ status is also in question.
