Concerned about parents not allowing their children to play tackle football or learn the game before high school, Campbell Hall Coach Dennis Keyes is launching a youth seven-on-seven league that begins Sunday at Campbell Hall and will run through April.

“My hope is to keep families that may be swayed by the mention of banning tackle football from giving up hope on tackle football all together,” he said.

“What I plan to accomplish through this league that will be different from simply playing flag football is to teach the young players how to play tackle football in a non-contact environment. Think spring ball for high schools.”
